Privacy Policy

Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Wild Monkey Labs ("we," "our," or "us") processes information when you use the PeptideCalc.io iOS app and, where noted, the peptidecalc.io website. PeptideCalc is designed to work without a PeptideCalc account. Most app data stays on your device by default, and optional features like Apple Health, notifications, backups, exports, and iCloud Sync only apply if you choose to use them.
Key Points
- You do not need to create a PeptideCalc account to use the app.
- Most app data is stored locally on your device by default.
- Apple Health access is optional and read-only. Imported Apple Health samples stay in the app on your device and are not uploaded by PeptideCalc iCloud Sync, though they can appear in local backups or exports you choose to create.
- We use limited analytics and crash/diagnostic reporting to improve performance, sync reliability, and app stability.
- The website uses Google Analytics and related browser cookies or identifiers to measure site traffic and page usage.
- We do not run ads in the app, do not sell your personal information, and do not use Apple Health data for advertising.
Information We Process
Depending on which features you use, PeptideCalc may process the following categories of information:
- Calculations, saved protocols, schedules, reminders, dose history, notes, injection-site history, inventory records, and related settings.
- Manually entered biometric data, such as weight, lean body mass, body fat percentage, BMI, resting heart rate, sleep duration, timestamps, and optional notes.
- Automatic local backup files and any JSON, CSV, or PDF exports you choose to create, which may include biometrics, notes, and related source metadata.
- Support communications you send us by email, including your email address and message contents.
Apple Health And Biometrics
Apple Health integration is optional. If you enable it, PeptideCalc requests read-only access through Apple HealthKit for supported metrics, currently: weight, lean body mass, body fat percentage, body mass index, resting heart rate, and sleep duration. PeptideCalc does not write data back to Apple Health.
Imported Apple Health samples are stored locally on your device for app features such as trends and insights. They are not uploaded by PeptideCalc iCloud Sync.
If you create a local backup or export that includes biometrics, those files may contain both manually entered biometric entries and imported Apple Health samples, along with timestamps, source metadata, and optional notes where present.
iCloud Sync, Backups, And Exports
PeptideCalc iCloud Sync is optional. If you enable it, supported app data may sync across your signed-in Apple devices using Apple CloudKit/iCloud. This can include data such as saved protocols, schedules, log history, inventory, and injection-site data. Depending on the feature, synced records can include user-entered names, notes, timestamps, and related identifiers needed for sync.
Automatic backup files and user-created exports may also contain app data, including biometrics, depending on what you choose to back up or export. Automatic backups created by the app are stored locally in the app's device container until they are removed. Exported files remain wherever you save or share them until you delete them.
Local app databases, settings, logs, and automatic backup files may also be included in Apple device backup and restore flows, such as iCloud device backup or computer-based backups, depending on Apple's systems and your device settings.
We do not operate a separate PeptideCalc account system for synced app data. Sync is handled through Apple services tied to your Apple account. Apple states that iCloud data is encrypted in transit and stored in encrypted form on Apple's servers. Additional Apple-managed protections depend on Apple's own services and your account settings.
Analytics, Crash Logs, And Diagnostics
We use limited analytics and diagnostic tools to understand how the app is used, improve sync behavior, investigate bugs, and make the app more stable.
- Firebase Analytics: screen views, feature usage, taps and menu actions, sync events, storage events, and app performance/reliability signals.
- Firebase Crashlytics: crash reports, non-fatal errors, last-log context, app version/build, operating system version, device type, and troubleshooting metadata.
- Apple MetricKit: diagnostic information such as hang reports, app version/build, operating system version, and device type.
- Apple App Store Connect analytics: aggregated install, acquisition, and usage analytics provided by Apple.
- Website analytics: if you visit peptidecalc.io, the website uses Google Analytics, which may use cookies or similar browser identifiers and receive technical website usage data.
Diagnostic reports may include troubleshooting context related to the failing screen or feature, such as protocol IDs, user-generated protocol names, attempted rename values, sync status, counts, storage or sync error metadata, and last-log message or metadata. We do not use Apple Health data for advertising, and we do not use advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking in the app.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, the app may schedule local notifications for dose reminders, inventory alerts, and similar app features. If you enable iCloud Sync, the app may also register for Apple push notifications so CloudKit can notify your devices about sync changes.
Reminder notifications can include protocol or medication names and dose details. Depending on your iOS notification and lock-screen settings, that content may be visible on your device screen. CloudKit sync notifications are used for background sync updates and are configured as silent push notifications.
Website Analytics And Cookies
If you visit peptidecalc.io, the website uses Google Analytics to understand traffic and page usage. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar browser identifiers and may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, pages viewed, referring pages, and interaction events on the site.
You can limit this website analytics activity through your browser cookie settings, content blockers, or Google's own tools. We do not run ads in the app, and the website analytics described here is used for traffic measurement rather than in-app advertising or cross-app tracking.
How We Use Information
- To provide calculations, scheduling, logging, inventory, insights, reminders, backups, and exports.
- To import optional Apple Health data that you authorize the app to read.
- To sync supported app data across your devices if you enable iCloud Sync.
- To measure feature usage, diagnose crashes, troubleshoot sync/storage problems, and improve reliability.
- To respond if you contact us for support or privacy questions.
Sharing And Service Providers
We share information only as needed to run the features you use and support the services described in this policy.
- Apple HealthKit for optional read-only health data import.
- Apple CloudKit/iCloud for optional sync across your signed-in Apple devices.
- Apple Push Notification service for optional reminders and CloudKit sync updates.
- Apple MetricKit and App Store Connect for diagnostics and app analytics.
- Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics for app analytics and crash reporting.
- Google Analytics for website traffic measurement and related cookies or browser identifiers on peptidecalc.io.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your app content or health-related data for advertising.
Data Retention
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, reset the app's data, remove exports/backups, or uninstall the app. If you enable iCloud Sync, synced records may remain in your iCloud account until they are removed through app actions, reset/restore flows, or Apple's account controls. Turning off iCloud Sync stops future syncing but may not immediately remove records already stored in iCloud.
Analytics, crash, and diagnostic data may be retained by Apple, Google, or their related services according to those providers' own retention policies. Support emails are retained as needed to respond and maintain support records.
Your Choices And Controls
- Do not enable Apple Health if you do not want the app to read Apple Health data.
- Manage or revoke Apple Health permissions in the Health app or in iOS Settings.
- Leave PeptideCalc iCloud Sync off if you do not want supported app data synced through iCloud.
- Turn off reminders or notifications in the app or in iOS Settings.
- Delete entries, backups, exports, or reset app data inside the app when those controls are available.
- Uninstall the app to remove its local app container from the device, subject to Apple backup/restore behavior.
- Use your browser settings, content blockers, or Google tools if you want to limit website analytics cookies or identifiers on peptidecalc.io.
Children's Privacy
PeptideCalc is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through an account system in the app. If you believe a child has provided us personal information directly, please contact us and we will review the request.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date.
