How to Log an As-Needed Dose in PeptideCalc

Dose Logs

Direct answer

Open Protocols, expand the active saved protocol, tap Log Dose, set When taken to the date and time the dose was actually taken, review the remaining fields, then tap Save.

Starting Log Dose from Protocols creates an as-needed record for that saved protocol. Use this path when there is no existing scheduled item to complete.

Record only what actually occurred. Check the date, time, and remaining fields against your own record before saving.

Scope: This page explains PeptideCalc controls and software workflows. It does not choose a medication, dose, liquid, syringe mark, preparation method, or administration technique. Use the product label and instructions from a licensed clinician or pharmacist to decide whether any input or result is appropriate. This path creates an as-needed record and does not change future schedule dates. Use Calendar when the dose belongs to an existing scheduled item.

These labels and steps were checked in the public PeptideCalc 2.7.7 app on .

Questions about this PeptideCalc workflow

How do I add a dose that was not scheduled in PeptideCalc?

Open Protocols, expand the saved protocol, and tap Log Dose. That path creates an as-needed record instead of completing a scheduled item.

What is the difference between an as-needed dose and a scheduled dose log?

An as-needed log starts from Protocols when no scheduled item exists. A scheduled log starts from an existing item on Schedule > Calendar and records that item as completed.

Can I open the as-needed Log Dose sheet by swiping the protocol?

Yes. In PeptideCalc 2.7.7, you can swipe the active protocol left and choose Log Dose instead of expanding its card first.

Why does this Log Dose sheet confirm with Save?

In PeptideCalc 2.7.7, an as-needed Log Dose sheet opened from Protocols confirms with Save. A sheet opened from an existing scheduled item confirms with Log Dose.

Can an as-needed dose log shift my future schedule dates?

No. Schedule Behaviors apply to eligible scheduled doses. An as-needed log does not change future schedule dates.
